Darwin

We had a fabulous 3 1/2 week stay in Darwin. After not accomplishing the usual amount of boat jobs that you would in a marina (mostly due to the heat – but Lola’s Pergola may have played a part…) we left Cullen Bay Marina after a week, to anchor out in Fannie Bay. We only got the tide wrong once! which meant having to walk about a km through shallow, muddy (croc and stinger infested) water to get the heavy shopping, fuel etc into the dinghy…. We were much more vigilant after that – enjoying visits to the shore on the incoming tides!! to visit museums, markets, sailing clubs and new friends!
